Mingna Li is Chinese-born, New York-based multimedia artist, technologist, and performer. She is best known for her interactive music performances with home lamps, which she uses multiple household lamps as a music interface to create live performance.
Mingna premiered her interactive performance, In a Box, at The Paper Box in Brooklyn last year. Her augmented reality documentary installation was selected at NY Media Lab Summit in 2018. Her interactive dance and projection work, The Invitation, has been performed at The Center for Ballet and Arts in 2019.
She received her bachelor’s degree in art at University of California, Irvine and her masters from Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
